Exploring the Boundaries of CSRHalf-day seminar-workshop - 2 pm to 5.30 pm, Monday, 1 December - Middlesex University, LondonThis seminar-workshop will explore the boundaries of CSR by looking at the relationship between CSR and Development in its widest sense, given the many recent policy discussions/calls for a contribution of the private sector towards 'international development'. The linking of CSR to development goals is hugely significant, in that firms are not simply expected to act responsibly in their operations, but to play a role in public interventions such as the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals. To what extent can companies fulfil such roles? What areas should they focus on? What is the role of other actors? The seminar-workshop is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and organised by representatives from Article 13 Group, Middlesex University and the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, East Anglia and Witwatersrand. If you would like to attend, please contact Jane Fiona Cumming (janefionac@article13.com or 020 8840 4450) to reserve a place. Explore the links below to find out more about our other services…
