Engagement and dialogue, to develop shared understanding and realise common goals

Articulate is all about encouraging engagement and two-way communication with stakeholders. Outputs of such engagement can vary – you might want to achieve concrete outputs like conflict resolution, developing a common vision, a detailed report, a new policy or a joint action plan. But you may also be interested in the less concrete outputs, like trust, transparency, buy-in, shared responsibility, breaking down of old assumptions and perceived differences.

Article 13 has extensive experience in all aspects of facilitation and engagement. We have in our toolkit, expertise in 'traditional' methods of engagement, both large and small scale, but also are leaders in the field, constantly innovating and exploring new methodologies. Our recent work bears testimony to this, in our use of interactive participative technology, graphic visualisation tools, role play scenarios, “paint the picture” and more…

But it is not engagement for engagement’s sake. The whole Article 13 approach is very action orientated and focused on delivering organisational objectives or strategy, and we link dialogue to implementation and outcomes.

Also unique to Article 13 is the use of dialogue and participative techniques in parallel areas of our work for clients. Whether it be classic qualitative and quantitative research programmes, business planning, policy making or visioning – in each case cross-fertilising the traditional with the imaginative, we make the process come alive.
