The UNGC principles and our own values are deeply ingrained throughout the Article 13 Group. As responsible business experts, we pride ourselves on continuously improving our efforts to uphold these corporate citizenship values and advocate the business case to our stakeholders and networks.

Article 13 is continually improving its commitment to UNGC standards and will continue to be ambitious in 2009.
The UNGC principles:
Human Rights
- Business should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights
- Business should ensure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses
Labour Rights
- Business should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining
- Business should support the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour
- Business should support the effective abolition of child labour
- Business should support the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
The Environment
- Business should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges
- Business should undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility
- Business should encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies
Transparency and anti-corruption
- Business should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery [see our Transparency and anti-corruption resource centre for useful links]
