CSR commitments, monitoring and reporting
2012 UNGC Strategy
We have ambitious plans to maintain our commitment and strengthen the impact we have on all of our stakeholders, whether they are employees, suppliers, clients or the wider community. Our 2012 strategy as outlined below focuses on the areas where we believe we can make the greatest impact and achieve the best outcomes.
Target 1: Increase awareness of our internal and external stakeholders
Activities to achieve this:
- Increase information and interactivity for UNGC monthly newsletter
- Increase information and interactivity with our associates
- Maintain exciting case studies online – energy, food and precautionary principle
- Maintain momentum on supply chain research – require UNGC related questionnaire answered from all new suppliers
Target 2: Improve communication for our personal commitments
Activity to achieve this:
- Encourage more measureable personal commitments
Target 3: Develop and maintain an active partnership with a local human rights NGO
Target 4: Increase staff awareness of human rights, labour rights, environmental sustainability and/or transparency and anti-corruption
Activities to achieve this:
- Conduct two lunch and learn sessions on UNGC topics of interest
Target 5: Define and follow a measureable set of KPIs in regards to environment, labour, transparency and communication
Goals to achieve this:
- Reduce paper usage by 25% compared to 2011 rates in relation to business activity
- Reduce CO2 usage by an additional 10% in regards to business activity
Target 6: Striving to have zero direct negative impact on the environment, human rights, labour rights and transparency and anti-corruption
Ways of achieving this:
- Ongoing ISO activities
- Ongoing Investor in People activities
- Integrate UNGC Advanced Criteria for the CoP (linked with GRI)
Reporting
NEW! Full Year UNGC Communication on Progress (CoP) 2011
Each year we report on our activities under the UNGC umbrella in a Communication on Progress. Just launched is our Full Year CoP 2011 which you can also find published on the UNGC website.
NOTABLE CoP! UNGC Communication on Progress (CoP) 2007
Our 2007 CoP was awarded 'Notable CoP' status by the UN Global Compact Office, as recognition of our comprehensive approach to achieving high standards of corporate citizenship.
